Welcome to Be 1, a prayer initiative inviting lovers of Jesus from churches across Chicago to come pray for unity within Christ’s church, collectively listen to what the Spirit is saying to the church, and pray for our beloved city of Chicago.
Be 1 was created by a group who collectively long to witness the church in Chicago reach out, hold hands with each other, no longer divided by denomination, neighborhood, race or any other label of this world. Desiring to see those who call Jesus Lord come together and cry out unto Our Father. Praying that the prayer of Jesus in John 17 for us as believers would happen in our city through His church/the Body, that the city of Chicago, and the world, will know Jesus the Messiah is who He said He is. So we gather as ONE in anticipation for what He wants to and will do!
“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me." John17:20-23

Mark 12:29
Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
